On May 11th-12th, the International Council of Music Creators (CIAM) held their Executive Committee meeting in New York City. Fair Trade Music is the primary global campaign by the music creators council, advocating for increased transparency and fair compensation for music creators throughout the world.
27 representatives of CIAM partner alliances, authors’ rights associations and collective management organisations united for the meeting. Fair Trade Music was a core topic, allowing attendees to learn about Fair Trade Music’s progress, certification criteria, the certification process, governance and bylaws.
