Honoring indigenous American music creators and artists

Raye-Zaragoza

Update from advisory committee member, Charles Sanders:

“It was my honor this afternoon to moderate an A2IM Panel that included three of the best young singer songwriters working and writing today: Quinn Christopherson, Raye Zaragoza and Katherine “KP” Paul (Black Belt Eagle Scout).

We had a terrific, wide-ranging conversation on the opportunities and challenges facing Indigenous American music creators and artists, and explored how the music community can listen and react supportively to the initiatives these artists believe will enhance their ability to bring their music and heritage to public attention.

The sense of community among Indigenous American creators has never been stronger, and I am proud to participate in celebrating the excellence of these musicians and composers along with the Songwriters Guild of America, the SGA Foundation, the National Music Council, Music Creators North America, Fair Trade Music and the Native American Music Awards.”
